Sculptra is an injectable treatment containing poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, which stimulates collagen production. Its effects develop gradually, so a consultation should focus on a longer-term plan and realistic expectations. Ask whether Sculptra is suitable for your goals and how it differs from other options. It is not appropriate for everyone. Planning treatment and aftercare Immediate swelling is not the final result. Ask about the proposed number and spacing of sessions, likely recovery and follow-up. Possible complications include lumps or nodules, inflammation and infection, as well as rare serious injection-related complications. Aftercare must follow the instructions for your individual treatment. A single treatment is £450, with a two-treatment package at £800.
